CONTACT LISNS

LISNS has been lucky enough to have had Brendan volunteering with us this summer.
Brendan turned 18 while volunteering with LISNS (Happy Birthday!). He graduated from Sackville High School in June and will be a NSCC student in September taking the 2 year Information Technology course. Brendan is an aspiring rapper and is dabbling in starting his own record label.
We desperately needed to have all of our LISNS publications organized - Brendan took on this mammoth job and accomplished it in record speed. Just look at all those neatly stacked boxes in the photo! He is also incredible with creating graphics. When the new, easier to use version of the LISNS website is released, you will see some of Brendan's creations.
Brendan came to us through the The Pre-Vocational Program at the Provincial Autism Centre. The Program is designed to help prepare students on the spectrum for post-secondary employment by providing skill building modules across various employment topics and then providing valuable job training through work experience placements at professional organizations throughout the HRM. What a great program!
Thank you Brendan. Your work this summer has been crucial to LISNS!
We wish you all the best in school and know you will excel in all your future endeavours.
