I'm so sorry...LEGAL NEWS
Nova Scotia’s new Apology Act came into effect on October 1, 2009. The law allows anyone to say they’re sorry without fear of having the apology used against them. Under the Act an apology is not an admission of fault or liability, and is inadmissible in court as evidence of fault or liability. Saying you're sorry is also not an acknowledgment that a legal claim or cause of action exists, nor will it affect insurance coverage. Click here to read the new law. |
