Why Volunteer at LISNS?

There are a lot of great reasons to volunteer with LISNS. Here’s just a few:

  • LISNS offers access for everyone in Nova Scotia to understand the law.
  • LISNS empowers people to change their lives.
  • LISNS really does care.
  • And most importantly - because we can’t do it all by ourselves and we need your support.

LISNS offers Nova Scotians many programs and services, all of which require the work of more people than are employed at the Society. We need the help of volunteers to deliver the quality of service we offer.

Volunteer positions currently open at LISNS:
Board and Committee Work

*Please Note: You do not have to be a Board member to volunteer on committees.

Time commitment is approximately 80 hours per year and includes Board meetings, education sessions, fund development, special events and committee work.
